Katinka is bred out of the 1.35m jumping mare Tsarina, who already produced the international 1.40m showjumper Aeolus (s.Landor S) of Stein Endresen. Granddam Gré showed her excellent talent in the maretesting and is dam of several 1.30/1.35m showjumpers. She is also granddam of the international showjumpers Ustinov (s.No Limit) of Emiliano Liberati and Watson (s.Numero Uno), ridden by Hans-Jörn Ottens, as well as the 1.40m jumper Copa Cabana (s.Cartano). Sire Ustinov showed his outrageous quality on international 1.50m level with Caroline Müller. Also as a breedingstallion Ustinov owns excellent characteristics. He produced outstanding horses like Anatevka, Bestinov, Abarlo T and Backstory already.
